Hometown Hero: St. Andrew's Prom Closet

This is the tenth year for the Prom Closet at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano.

Girls who can't afford a prom outfit will get one for free this Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Girls in need will get a gorgeous dress, shoes, jewelry and a purse when they show up in person.

This year, there are 6,000 dresses from size 0-30, 500 pairs of shoes, 350 evening purses and 4,000 pieces of jewelry.

The Prom Closet has given outfits to girls from Plano, Dallas, DeSoto, Waco, Aledo, and even Oklahoma.

Prom Closet will be open:

Tuesday, February 27 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Wednesday, February 28, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday, March 1, 4p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, March 3, 9 a.m. – noon
