The city of Dallas is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

One of the projects under HUD's microscope is a nine-unit apartment complex built for nearly $2 million from HUD, about $215,000 per unit.

Now, HUD wants proof the city did not squander tax dollars to build the project and 53 others.

FOX 4’s Lori Brown uncovered a federal audit, investigating how $30 million was spent in Dallas.
